Background:

I moved to Quebec City, Canada to work on an unannounced MMO that Ubisoft had started to work on.  It was decided during my relocation to Canada that  the company did not want to go ahead with an MMO.  Instead, I was put on the DLC for Assassin’s Creed 3.  There, I worked on mission designs for the first and third chapters for ‘The Tyranny of King Washington’.

Job Responsibilities:

Using their proprietary tool (Anvil), I scripted out the fourth chapter in Episode 1 (The Infamy) and the fourth chapter in Episode 3 (The Redemption).  This primarily entailed setting up mission conditions to further the plot (A leads to B leads to C, etc).  I was responsible for enemy spawning, patrol paths and overall mission flow and functionality for each of the missions I worked on.  I also came up with the original story outline for my mission in Episode 1 (we needed a tutorial for the Wolf power).

Accomplishments:

I learned Anvil while working at Ubisoft, while also trying to learn French (the Quebec City office is a primarily French speaking studio).  We shipped the three chapters of the DLC on time.
